Driving to work this morning (because I go to wrestling after work on Mon and Wed), a hit-and-run driver smashed the Mini Cooper.
I was turning from Montvale Ave onto I-93 North. I waited for the green turn arrow and went. I never saw the car, but it must have run the red light going the opposite direction on Montvale.
I pulled over to the side of the I-93 entrance ramp and walked back to the intersection, but the car that hit me was gone. The other vehicles that were waiting at the light with me were gone too, so no witnesses.
Fortunately, I was not injured and I think the Mini was only minimally damaged.
The rear bumper was ripped off and hanging by two bolts, but that seems to be the extent of the damage.
Still, it was very sad seeing the Mini lying in pieces next to the road.
I guess now I have no excuse for not riding my bike to work for the next couple of weeks.
