Steve and I hiked up Whiteface and across to Passaconaway. There was a great view just 100 feet past the summit on Walden Trail. Other footprints (made by John and Pepper we assume) went to viewpoint then retraced back over the summit and down Dicey's Mill Trail. We decided to continue down Walden Trail to East Loop and thus back to Dicey's Mill. Big mistake. Walden Trail was steep and icy so we had to carefully and slowly make our way down.
